Gränsfors Bruks Ceramic whetstone 403-4

The Gränsfors Ceramic Grinding Stone is a handmade grindstone with two grinding sides; one coarse side (180 grit paper) to repair damage or severe wear, and one fine side (600 grit paper) to grind.

The ceramic composite makes the stone both durable and strong. Unlike natural sandstone, a ceramic grindstone has a more accurate grain size. The shape is round and flat with a rounded edge to prevent shattering.

With the stone, the cut is made to remove the latent unevenness. If you have larger ''wells'' then we recommend the Gränsfors Bruks files.

How to use Gränsfors Bruks Ceramic Grinding Stone?

Moisten the whetstone with water (applies especially to clay and sandstone stones) or oil, e.g. wet oil, honey oil or sewing machine oil (for carborundum or Arkansas whetstones).
Move the whetstone with rotating movements along the cut. Start with the coarse and then the fine for the finishing touch. Rinse and dry the whetstone thoroughly before storing it.
