The C-A-T Tourniquet is a compression bandage designed to stop heavy (arterial) bleeding on limbs in time to save lives. Thanks to the single-handed ease of use, the CAT GEN7 can even be applied by the injured person himself.

The C-A-T gen7 is now the most widely used tourniquet in the world.

Virtually all NATO countries use this turnstile as fixed equipment for their military. The Dutch and Belgian army and various police forces have now switched to purchasing it. The CAT-T was developed after a study showed that, in violent conflicts, the main cause of death among the dead was bleeding.

It is very important to stop heavy bleeding at an early stage.
Because of the single-handed ease of use, the CAT-T can also be applied by the injured person himself.

Authenticity

Currently there are many counterfeit tourniquets (counterfelt Tourniquets) on the market. These Tourniquets are often indistinguishable from the real Tourniquets, but when used or built they do not exert enough circumferential pressure so that injured people continue to lose blood.

In the Benelux market, the C-A-T Tourniquet must be packaged in plastic and have printed instructions with Special Medics' logo and quality mark.
