The C-A-T Tourniquet is a tourniquet designed to stop severe (arterial) bleeding on limbs in time to save lives. Thanks to its single-handed ease of use, the CAT GEN7 can even be applied by the injured person themselves.

The C-A-T gen7 is now the most widely used tourniquet in the world.

Virtually all NATO countries use this tourniquet as a permanent piece of equipment for their military. The Dutch and Belgian military and several police forces have now switched to it. The CAT-T was developed after studies showed that, in conflicts of violence, the leading cause of death among those killed had died of hemorrhage.

It is of great importance to stop heavy bleeding at an early stage.
Due to its single-handed ease of use, the CAT-T can also be applied by the injured person themselves.

Authenticity

Currently, there are many counterfeit tourniquets (counterfelt Tourniquets) on the market. These Tourniquets are often indistinguishable from the real ones, but break when used or do not build enough circumferential pressure so that injured people continue to lose blood.

In the Benelux market, the C-A-T Tourniquet must be wrapped in plastic and have printed instructions with the Special Medics logo and seal of approval.
