The twist splitting wedge Safe-T has a spiral shape: a special geometric design that makes the wood crack much faster and eliminates the use of multiple wedges. This tool has a very strong striking surface made of polyamide and a metal ring that reduce the risk of flying chips. This makes surface maintenance to remove burrs unnecessary. The design reduces the risk of RSI (Repetitive Strain Injury) and dampens vibrations while striking. The keil is made of forged steel.

This well-working splitting wedge stays put due to its ridges! The Safe-T button ensures that you do not strike steel on steel, and thus no steel shavings will come off that can get into your eye! The top white edge will get knocked off pretty quickly, but you can just keep hitting the white plastic/metal ring until you are almost at the ornaje of the wedge. Then you need to replace the SAFE-T button!
