The fiberglass-reinforced plastic FiberComp handle of a Fiskars axe is stronger than a wooden handle. Tests show that where a wooden handle breaks the FiberComp handle cuts through without a problem. The axe head is integrated into the handle and therefore will not detach from the handle either. The handle absorbs vibrations and increases grip and comfort while chopping. Fiskars is so convinced of the quality of this concept that it has provided the axes with a lifetime warranty.

The axe head has a smooth coating that makes it easier to get the axe out of wood. This coating is very durable. The price of these axes is relatively low, the longevity and quality can compete with much more expensive competitors.
