Husqvarna Split Wedge.

For splitting wood. The wedge is curved for maximum splitting effect. To be used with a sledgehammer or a splitting axe*. With grooves so that the splitting wedge cannot shoot back. Wear suitable protection for face and eyes when hitting steel on steel.

*Do not use a normal axe as a wedge or sledgehammer. They are not made for that purpose and may therefore be damaged. Only this gap hammer is made to hit a wedge. Remember that there is always a risk associated with hitting steel on steel: a steel splinter can come loose and damage an eye, for example. Use safety goggles and suitable work clothing. Make sure that the wedge and head edges are always held at an angle.
