Gränsfors Bruks 441 Small splitting axe 59 cm

The small splitting axe from Gränsfors can be used for medium-sized firewood. It is forged and ground to a concave, rather thin blade at the bit. The axe cuts quickly and easily into the wood and then splits it effectively as the wider part pushes the wood apart. The handle has a protective steel collar under the axe head and rounded grooves towards the end for an extra firm grip.

Splitting axes should not be used for striking or as a wedge. Only the splitting axe is designed for this purpose. (Gränsfors Bruks 450)

Steel color is different?

Indeed because this is a handmade product, the stem color may vary from the picture in connection with oils of the stem. This also applies to the grain and the color of the protective cover.
