The Dutch Oven is made of cast iron, has feet on the bottom and the lid has a raised edge. Cast iron is a material that conducts and retains heat well, ideal for preparing the most delicious dishes. Cast iron is suitable for any heat source and thanks to the feet on the bottom, you can cook directly on the heat source, without 'suffocating' the heat.

The raised edge allows you to place coals on the lid and create an oven function inside the Dutch Oven. Valhal Outdoor's Dutch Ovens are already pre-treated with a natural oil, so you don't need to do this yourself before first use. However, we do recommend that you heat the Dutch Ovens thoroughly before using them for the first time. When you take good care of your Dutch Oven, you have a pan for life.
