Short model hedge trimmer with short wooden handles of 30 cm and a long razor sharp jaw of 200 mm. This short, lightweight model is ideal for topiary trimming boxwood or the Japanese garden (o-karikomi) because you are close to the work. The 231 is also ideal for pruning in tight spaces. The blade of the Okatsune 231 is 25 mm longer than the blade of the 217 boxwood shears. This has the advantage that you can penetrate deeper into the crop and cut faster with larger areas.

Maintenance:

The scissors are constructed of only a few parts so that little maintenance is required. It is recommended to clean the blades after use. After cleaning, it is wise to oil the scissors and store them moisture free with the blades closed. If you notice that the scissors are cutting less well, you can sharpen them with the Okatsune whetstone (Okatsune 412).
