Gränsfors Bruk 487 Splitting iron / Froe

The Gränsfors Froe is used for splitting wood very finely, for example when making shingles for a roof. The wood to be split is placed under the edge. The user holds the tool with one hand on the vertical handle and hits the blade with a hammer with the other hand. The handle is removable so that the Froe can be easily transported.
