The Petzl Maestro S is a descent unit equipped with an integrated pulley function with backstop.

The Maestro has been specially developed for use during technical rescue operations and enables even heavy loads to be lowered or hoisted in a controlled manner. Thanks to the ergonomic handle, the user retains control of the descent rate.

Combined hoisting and descent system
The Maestro has been developed in such a way that one can switch directly from the descent to the hoist function without first having to block the load and/or transfer it to another system.

The Petzl Maestro offers the possibility to assemble different hoist configurations.

Pulley function
The integrated pulley clamp has a large-diameter block disc and is mounted on a waterproof ball bearing, ensuring the user a high efficiency when lifting loads.

Auto Lock System
The Petzlo Maestro's Auto-Lock system ensures that when the handle is not in use, the system automatically locks and the user can overtake rope (hoisting/hoisting) without having to activate the handle.

Remote control Petzl Maestro
The Petzl Maestro is equipped with an embedding point in the lever of the unit. This point is suitable for attaching a throw line, the Petzl Airline. Make a stop knot at the end of the throw line so that the line cannot be pulled through the binding point of the lever. With this addition, the Petzl Maestro hoist and descent set can be remotely controlled, allowing the operator to have a better view of the person he is descending. N.B. Use 1 hand to hold both the rope and the throw line, this way the descent can be carried out safely and in a controlled way.
