Description
The ART SnakeAnchor is an anchoring line that is available in 2 different lengths, 250 and 500 cm, making it suitable for almost any tree anchoring application. There are connecting eyes along the entire length of the line so you can set the line to almost any length you want. In the 250 cm version these eyes are stitched every 7 cm and in the 500 cm version every 9 cm.
NB. The anchor point to which you attach the ART SnakeAnchor must be able to withstand a minimum of 10 kN in order to start working safely.
Integrated shock absorber
The stitching in the line acts as a shock absorber, so that in the event of a fall, the force released is reduced (without loss of the breaking strength of the product). These connection eyes in the line can be statically loaded up to 4 kN. This significantly reduces the impact on the climber in the event of a fall.
Top anchor and stem anchor
The ART SnakeAnchor can be used as a trunk/base anchor, so you can use the line when rescuing a climber. You then need to attach a descent device (e.g. a Petzl I'D Evac) to the anchor and then pull the lifeline through so that you can lower the person safely from the ground. The anchor can also be used as a top anchor, where the line can easily be installed at height around a branch.
