The Njord Snida is a balanced carving axe developed for woodworking. The deep recess in the axe head is smooth and well rounded for a comfortable grip for precise carving. The sharp cut has a 10 cm rounded cutting edge.
An excellent choice for woodworking and wood chopping. Made of hand-forged laminated damask steel and a pallisander handle for a good grip. The axe is finished with a traditional protective mix of beeswax and linseed oil.
Comes with a handmade black leather sheath and a deluxe storage case.
The inspiration for the design of this mythical axe has its origins in the time of the Vikings. The axe was an everyday utensil, an indispensable tool for gathering wood and building house and ship.
