Description
Okatsune Flower Scissors 304 Long Handle
The Okatsune 304 is a very lightweight, razor-sharp long-jaw flower scissors (45 mm) designed specifically for picking flowers and herbs and cutting off spent buds. The pointed, extremely thin blades (2.3 mm) allow you to reach even the tightest spaces. The Okatsune 304 is not suitable for cutting hard (woody) stems. For this you better use the Okatsune 307.
Okatsune flower cutters are the undisputed number 1 in Japan: the country that has elevated their use to a true art.
The blade is sharpened at two angles so it cuts smoothly into the wood and does not damage the plant unnecessarily. The unique shape of the hollow-ground knife allows the sap to flow away from the blade and prevents the blades from deviating from each other. The V-shape of the spring ensures that the load is evenly distributed along the length of the spring which guarantees a soft closure.

Maintenance:
The scissors are constructed of only a few parts so that little maintenance is required. It is recommended to clean the blades after use. After cleaning, it is wise to oil the scissors and store them moisture free with the blades closed. If you notice that the scissors are cutting less well, you can sharpen them with the Okatsune whetstone (Okatsune 412).
